Show C. of C. Member Dues Requested Seeking to stimulate interest in payment of Chamber of Commerce Com-merce dues. A. W. Cherrinrton. executive secretary, this week gave a story from The Bulletin, Springville Chamber of Commerce as an example of the thinking of some should-be-members: "Once upon a time some villagers vil-lagers decided upon a feast and as none of them had great wealth it was decided that each should bring a bottle of his choicest wine which he would contribute to a big cash for the use of all. "One villager said to himself, 'why should I give my fine wine for the good of all. I will fill my bottle with water, empty it with the others. My misdeed will be undetected, and my wine will be saved for my own use and forthwith forth-with he did so and behold when the time of the feast was at hand, only water flowed from the cash. "Each villager had submitted water for wine saying my contribution contri-bution will not be missed." |
