Show has a change of address having been assigned a two-year overseas 'tour of. duty and will be assigned to the Yokota Airforce base about 30 miles from Tokyo, Japan. He has been training at McClellan AFB, California. Mr. and Mrs. K. Will Llewellyn came from Rupert, Ida., for the wedding of their nephew, Jerry Weight, son of Dr. and Mrs. 'J. J. Weight of Provo and Miss Joyce Cassity, who were honored at a receDtion in the University Ward Capt. Stewart has been with the Springville National Guard unit. Mr. and Mrs'. Cliff Adams returned re-turned to their home recently from a trip to Miami, Fla., awarded as a prize by the automobile company com-pany for which he works, in recognition re-cognition of his leading the field in sales during a period of time. He was the only salesman from Utah to win this particular prize. They made the trip both ways by plane and stayed at the new Di-Lido Di-Lido Hotel enjoying the swimming pool and other accommodations were all free to them. They were guests at a party each night and were taken on boat trips and various scenic excursions. Mr. Adams is employed with the P. E. Ashtxm Company of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil ' Oak were in Sandpoint, Ida., recently to attend at-tend the funeral services for his mother, Mrs. Anna Kitto. She died in Canada and interment was at Sandpoint. . Merrill D. Wilson writes that he Jown . . . Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen had as their guests at lunch Sunday Sun-day evening Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Weight and Mrs. Weight's mother Mrs. Lars E. Eggertsen of Provo. . Dr. and Mrs. John T. Marshall and three children have returned to their home in Springville from Germany where Dr. Marshall has spent nearly two years as a dentist den-tist with the Navy. His wife and children joined him about eighteen months ago and they have been making their home at Buedingen near Frankfurt. Dr. Marshall has already resumed his dental work in his former office in 'the bank building. Capt. and Mrs. Allan Stewart and three children left Saturday : for Virginia where he will go to engineering school until January. chapel Friday evening. Others attending at-tending the reception from this city were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Roth-well, Roth-well, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Maynard, Mrs. Mae W. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Weight and Mr. and Mrs James Wiscombe of Mapleton. Maple-ton. The Llewellyns were house guests of.Mrs. Mattie Palfreyman and Mrs. Mae W. Johnson one day and Mrs. Johnson and the Idaho visitors were also dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Wiscombe. On Sunday afternoon the Rothwells were host and hostess hos-tess at a family open house to honor Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn. s Mrs. Conrad Stone (Elizabeth Walker) and little daughter Paula have arrived in Springville from Newport, R.I., to stay with her parents until Conrad is released from the Navy in December. He came to Utah with his wife and daughter and visited here and with his folks in Provo, before returning re-turning to his ship, which is now in dock in New York for repairs resulting from - the recent east coast tornado. The Stones had the misfortune of losing their car in the tornado. It was parked near the coast, while Conrad was on ship and was completely submerged sub-merged in salt water. They were lucky, however, in that their home was not in the direct path of the hurricane which turned over government gov-ernment trailer-houses nearby and about three miles away demolished demolish-ed many houses. Mrs. Lamar Mason and little daughter Judy came from' Tremon-ton Tremon-ton to spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee W. Davis, returning to her home on Sunday. Mrs. Grace Loveridge and her sister, Mrs. J. W. Grant of Cour d'Alene, Ida., are making a three weeks conducted tour of Mexico in company with a group from the BYU. |
