Only cock birds will be legal game. Daily bag limit is three; possession limit after the first day is six. Opening day of the pheasant season was set earlier in the year as 8:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6. The commission set a quail season sea-son in eight counties to run concurrently con-currently with the pheasant season sea-son in those counties. This means five days of quail shooting in Salt Lake, Uintah and Utah counties with a three day season in Grand, Morgan, Summitt, Wayne and Washington. In Washington County an additional addi-tional three day quail hunt was scheduled for December 3, 4 and 5 when field reports showed an exceptionally ex-ceptionally good crop of birds in the county this year. The 80 day shoot will run through December 26. Final regulations now scheduled include the continued restricted use of air-thrust boats for duck and goose hunting this fall. New this year is the requirement require-ment that all owners of such boats must register them with the Department De-partment of Fish and Game.
