Show Hers of nferesf From SsrWcemen The aircraft carrier USS Boxer has again arrived in the Korean combat zone. Serving aboard her with Fighter Squadron 63 is Conrad Maag, aviation avia-tion machinist's mate, third class, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley C. Maag of this city. Maag graduated from Springville Spring-ville high school before enlisting in the navy in February, 1950. Pfc Arlo L. Moulton, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Moulton, 129 East Eighth South street is now on the mud-bogged eastern front in Korea with the 25th Infantry Division. His unit, with its attached Turkish Tur-kish Brigade, has been holding down a battle line northwest of the Punchbowl. Pfc. Moulton, a messenger in the 14h Infantry Regiment, entered the army in Feb., 1950. He arrived in Korea a second time in April, 1952. Naval Aviation Cadet Carl J. Angus, USNR, son of Mrs. Delia J. Angus of this city has recently reported to the US Naval Auxiliary Air Station, Corry Field, Pensa-cola, Pensa-cola, Fla., where he is undergoing training in radio, instrument and night flying. Cadet Angus graduated from Springville High School and later attended Snow Junior College. Since reporting to the Pensacola area for flight training in Sept., 1951, he has completed pre-flight school and the first phase of basic flight training. Cadet Angus will be designated a naval aviator and commissioned an' Ensign in the Naval Reserve upon completion of his flight training- Undergoing recruic training at the US Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif., is Paul E. Gott-fredson, Gott-fredson, seaman recruit, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill E. Gott-fredson Gott-fredson of this city. Before entering the Navy, he attended at-tended Springville High School. Lt. Leslie Beardall, son of Mrs. Zelma' Beardall of this city, has been spending a three weeks furlough fur-lough in Springville and Orem, following service in Korea. . Stationed in the foreign country five months, Lt. Beardall completed comple-ted 51 missions as a navigator. He I is to report to Kelly Field, Texas and will be accompanied by his wife and two children. Don Harmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Harmer of. Mapleton, is home on leave from the Air Force. He is to return to camp on May 29. |
