So try this really delicious cinnamon bread. You'll enjoy it. Cinnamon JJread One Cup milk, 4 cup margarine or butter, y4 cup sugar, 1 tea-ipoon tea-ipoon salt, cup warm, not hot, water (lukewarm for compressed yeast); 1 package or cake of yeast, active dry or compressed, 1 egg, beaten; 4 cups sifted, enriched flour. Scald milk. Stir in margarine or butter, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Measure water into large mixing bowl (warm, not hot, water for active dry yeast; lukewarm water for compressed yeast). Sprinkle or crumble-in yeast. Stir until dissolved. Stir in lukewarm luke-warm milk mixture and beaten egg. Add sifted flour and strr until mixed. Turn dough out on lightly floured board and knead 8 to 10 minutes min-utes or until dough is smooth and elastic, and does not stick to the board. Place in a greased bowl and brush top lightly with melted shortening. Cover with a cloth. ' Let rise in a warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes. Punch dough down and turn out on lightly floured board. Divide dough in half. Roll each half into an oblong about 8 x 10 inches. Brush lightly with melted margarine or butter. Sprinkle with half of cinnamon mixture. Roll up tightly, as for jelly roll. Seal edges by pinching together firmly. Place sealed side down in greased bread pan 8 x 4 x 2 inches.
