Holly left Monday morning mor-ning with a groupe of excursionists excursion-ists from Nebo Stake for a trip to ist and Senate Mendenhall, choris-4 ter; Nellie Wiscombe was chosen registrar; Martha Houtz, historian; Ardilla Perry, chaplain and Ida Whiting, librarian. Annie Gividen gave the history of her grandmother Beck and the lesson was given by Marva Whiting Whit-ing on "The Morman Battalion". Refreshments were served to twenty members and two visitors who were Mrs. Winnie Hawkins, a County DUP officer and Mrs. John Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Wentz who have been making their home in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he is stationed with the Air Force, are visiting for several days with their parents Mayor and Mrs. Maston C. Wentz of Mapleton and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Gillies of Springville. Wells will leave Saturday for Texas where he will continue his Air Force training while his wife will make her home with her parents par-ents for the summer. Mrs. Maston C. Wentz gave a stork shower for her daughter-in-law Saturday night at her home to which thirty-three guests were invited. in-vited. Her daughters Sharlene Tut-tle, Tut-tle, Ann Jeanette Robertson and Belva Jones assisted her. The oficers and teachers of the Mapleton Relief Society were entertained en-tertained at the home of Amanda Binks Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whiting have returned to their home in Mapleton after spending the winter win-ter in California visiting the homes of their daughters Beryl and Beu-lah Beu-lah and their families. A. Binks returned re-turned to their home Tuesday after spending three weeks in California visiting with friends and relitives. They went especially to see thier son Dean before he flew- to Camp Kilmer, New Jersey. Dean has completed his basic training at Fort Ord, California and left Camp Kilner on the 15th of this month for Austria where he will continue I his Army service.
