Show Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Reese Anderson; John S. Beardall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren War-ren L. Beardall; Yvonne Bigelow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Alton Bigelow; Marilyn Frost, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Frost; and Howard Weight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nolan G. Weight. They were accompanied by high school faculty member Bert Ostlund. Each high school attending represented rep-resented a different country actually ac-tually belonging to the U. N. The local group acted as the delegation from Egypt. Springville High Had Five Students at UN Five students from Springville high school traveled to the University Uni-versity of Utah last weekend to take part in the first Model United Nations assembly for high school students ever held in the United States. The local high students, along with representatives from 40 other Utah high schools, received personal person-al telegrams of congratulations and encouragement from President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Senator Henry Cabot Lodge and Dag Ham-merskjold, Ham-merskjold, secretary-general of the United Nations. Students attending were Lynn Give a beggar a quarter a week for five weeks and he will give yon a half dozen nasty looks when you skip the sixth week. |
