Show Mrs. Oliver Dalton Entertains Club Mrs. Oliver Dalton was hostess to members of the Ladies Litp ary club at a regular meeting w Thursday evening. Mrs. E a" Johnson, club president was in charge and conducted short biw iness at the close of the program David Dalton, accompanied bv Miss Alice Erickson on the piano gave two violin selections aftor which Mrs. W. H. Brown reviewed the book, "The Train Leaves at Midnight," by Vaslav Solski Th story deals with the problem con fronted by the Polish underground in their fight gainst the German, who took over their cuontrv dining din-ing World War II just before the Russians came in. The author Polish exile, was in Springville some time ago and spoke in a Kiwanis club meeting. The program also included a report on a recent meeting of the Womens' Legislative council, eivm by Mrs. C. A. Smith. 6 Preceding the evening's entertainment, enter-tainment, the hostess served a nicely-arranged lunch. Special guests included, Mrs. Virgil Bird and Mrs. Boyd Wilson. The next meeting of the club will be on Nov. 1, at the home of Mrs Smith. |
