Show Exchange Teacher Speaks At Grant School PTA Miss Margai-ft Parry, exchange tiacher from Wales, who is teaching teach-ing a third grade in Payson this year, delighted a large audience of parents and teachers in attendance at-tendance at the first PTA meeting meet-ing of the Grant school this year. She gave an entertaining and informative aoount of her travels to the United States from Wales on the Queen Klizabeth liner, and of her week's "briefing" and sightseeing sight-seeing in Washington, D. C, before be-fore coming to Utah. She paid t.ributo to the .schools, parents, church and the PTA organization 'if the state for their part in molding the type of student she found here, She gave a brief but picturesque description of the schools in her own country, and expressed appreciation and happiness happi-ness (it her opportunity of being an exchange teacher with a year ahead of her in our schools and country. The meeting was conducted by President Harriet Burt. After the opening prayer offered by Glen Tipton, community singing was led by Mr. Card, and acom-panieil acom-panieil by Mi.ss Gardner of the faculty. Mrs. Viva Kerby, secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, read the minutes of the PTA meeting held last spring. Irene Sumsion, first vice-president, explained the Grant school PTA project for the year, which is to have a different mother present each day during the hot-lunch hot-lunch hour to assist the teacher and those in charge. Principal LeRoy Erickaon, second sec-ond vice-president, . then introduced intro-duced the teachers of the school to the parents, and Pr6sident Harriet Har-riet Burt introduced the new room mothers. This was followed by reports from the following chairmen: chair-men: Mrs. Louise Clyde, adult education; Mrs. Elva Tipton, magazine, and Mrs. Ida West, membership. Paul Crandall, a student, rendered ren-dered a vocal selection, accompan- ied by Geneel Simmons. The third grade class won a Large bag of peanuts for having the most fathers in attendance.
