Show split carnations bordered by pale pink and centered with an orchid set with mock rhinestones. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Melba Jean Larsen, while Delia Rae Powell, Norma Bills and Joyce Giles were, bridesmaids brides-maids Best man for the groom was Reese Brinkerhoff and the little flower girls were Joan and Patsy Mower who were dressed In pink and aqua blue and carried tiny baskets of painted daisies. Other attendants to the bride were attired in pastel formals and held nosegays in corresponding colors. An entertaining program delighted deligh-ted the guests, with Blair Sargent acting as master of ceremonies. Following the reception, the couple left on a few days honeymoon honey-moon trip through the canyons In southern Utah. They plan to make their home in Chicago, 111., where Mr. Jones will continue his studies at the Northwestern University. Mapleton Reception Compliments J Miss Margene Hopla- Merlin Jones One of the loveliest of early summer weddings was that of Miss Margene Hopla, daughter of Mrs. Mabel Hopla and the late John E. Hopla, who was wed to J. Merlin Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Jones of Holden. The double-ring rites took place on Thursday June 8, in the Salt Lake Temple and the same evening, eve-ning, a reception in the Mapleton hall complimented the newlyweds. The wedding party stood before an arrangement of cut flowers, lighted by tall white tapers, to receive their many friends and rela- 5- tives. The bride was beautifully gowned in traditional slipper satin entrain made with long-pointed sleeves and lace trimmed yoke. Tiny satin buttons adorned the back and front of her wedding dress. Her finger-tip veil was fashioned fash-ioned to her head with a crown of orange blossoms. She carried a gorgeous bouquet made of white |
