Show p Guard Unit Gets Inspection; 11 Hew Members John E. Nolan, representing headquarters of Sixth Army at Presidio, Calif., was in Springville this week to conduct the annual armory ar-mory inspaction of the local National Na-tional Guard unit. A thorough inspection of equipment, equip-ment, supplies, and personnel was made by Col. Nolan, reports Chief Warrant Officer Robert W. Bring-hurst. Bring-hurst. Ranks of the local unit of the National Guard have welcomed eleven new members during the month of February. Enlisting for service were Winf ord Allan, Gerry Beardall, Arnold Brown, Glenis Bronson, Sterling Mason, Clyde McClellan, Mardean Whitney, Val Roberts, Karl Felix, Marvin Roun-dy Roun-dy and Jay Beck. This brings the unit to a membership mem-bership of 87 enlisted men and six officers. The number of enlistees is more than the quota assigned during the special recruitment program carried car-ried on during February, but the group plan to continue their efforts and become 100 strong before they go to summer camp, according to Robert D.
