Show Activities Of ...City. Sports . Playground activity in this city got off to a fine start Monday with nearly a hundred boys and girls out to take part in the supervised recreation. Mrs. Janet Crandall has this phase of the program in charge and is being assisted by several N. Y. A. workers. Registration for dancing under the direction of Miss Marjorie Child began at the high school Tuesday. These classes promise to be especially interesting and all children should take the opportunity op-portunity to enroll. i Lee Miner has returned from a life-saving and swimming course at Coma Springs and under his direction a swimming and life-saving program will be worked out lor the near future, the date and other details to be announced later. American Legion junior basc-iball basc-iball is well underway with about 15 boys out for regular practice. More team members and more boys to practice are desired for this phase of the recreational program. Considerable improvement is to be undertaken at the city recreation rec-reation park in the near future, according to a decision reached by the city council, A new fence is to be constructed on the south side; new bleachers constructed and some time in the future, a new grandstand. The ball diamond dia-mond was recently gone over to make it one of the best in the state.
