Show Vhat Is Going On In Recreational Play Friday evening at 8 o'clock for all women and girls from 15 years of age on, who are unable to attend the Thursday afternoon class. Tennis Tournament The final rounds of the tennis tournament will be played off this week with the following schedule: Finals, For Men Erie Boorman vs. Matt Olsen. The semi-final results were as follows: Matt Olsen defeated Hoyt Baxter 6-2, 10-8. Erie Boorman defeated Clair Gudmundsen 1-6, 6-2, 7-5. Matt Olsen defeated Richard Boorman 8-6, 4-6, 6-4, which was the most unexpected upset of the tournament. Finals For Women Arlene Hatch vs. Emma Ulloch. It is necessary for them to come before Saturday morning as they must belong to a certain group of pirates and have a pirate hat to wear. Next week our theme will be '"Pioneers," and we are going lo have a pioneer-Indian hike sometime during the week. Dramatics Many children have registered or dramatic classes being held at the high school Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with the following schedule for different age groups: Tuesday 2:30: 4, 5, and 6-year-olds; 3:00: ages 7, S, and 9; 4:00 ages 10, 11 and 12; Thursday, 3:30: Ages 13 and above. This schedule includes both bovs and girls. Free to the public'. pub-lic'. Dancing Tap-dancing lessons are being held for all ages, two lessons a week for each child at the high school. These lessons are being taught hv Daraa Grant, Sara Marie Binks. Venice Whiting, and Marjory Childs. All lessons free to the public. Physical F.ducalion for Women A physical education class for women is being held every Tuesday Tues-day at 8 p. m.,' at the high school under direction of Geraldine Eggertsen. Eg-gertsen. There have been over 40 women in attendance usually. Games, relays, marching and exercises have been given. Softball for women is held hack of the hish school every Wednesday at 6:30. All women and high school girls are encouraged en-couraged to come. Several games with outside teams have been planned. A special swimming class is being conducted at Park P.o-She. I |
