Show Attractions At The Theaters A splendid cast supports Gene Raymond and Ann Sothem in their newspaper romance-thriller, "There Goes My Girl," showing at the Ritz theatre Friday and Saturday. Playing one of the featured roles is lovely Joan Woodbury, one. of Hollywood's most versatile and accomplished actresses. Miss Woodbury does a difficult Spanish Span-ish dance in a night-club setting, as one of the highlights of the picture. , Once more the world is set in tune by springtime and by the seven song hits in Universal's "Top of the Town," which begins its run at the Rivoli theater on Friday. The offerings were created by Jimmy McHugh, who composed the music and Harold Adamson, who wrote the lyrics. The theme song, "Top of the Town," is featured by Gertrude Niesen, exotic radio personality and star of the Ziegfield Follies. She also sings "Where Are You?" and "Blame It on the Rhumba." Ella Logan, another popular radio warbler, sings "I Feel That Foolish Fool-ish Feeling Coming On," "There Are No Two Ways About It" and "Fireman, Save My Child," which is also chanted by the rest of the company. After the hilarious spree which stole many laughs for him in "Wake Up And Live," the Walter Winchell-Ben Bernie musical comedy com-edy hit, happy-go-lucky Jack Haley outdoes himself in a riotous riot-ous performance in Twentieth Century-Fox's comic bombshell, "She Had to Eat," opening Tuesday Tues-day at the Rivoli theatre. A million dollars worth of rac- ing talent burns up America's fastest tracks in "Speed to Spare," Columbia picture showing Sunday at the Ritz theatre. Juggernauts Jug-gernauts . . . careening over the fastest speedways in America Amer-ica .. . hurling daredevils to fheir doom ... in the screen's fastest thrill-packed drama. Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck the screen's most talked-about real-life sweethearts have been teamed by Twentieth-Century-Fox in the picture the world is talking about, "This Is My Affair." which opens Sunday at the Rivoli theatre. The story of a love supremely courageous and unashamed, endangering en-dangering the nation's highest places and gambling life itself for a greater stake.
