Show Plans Are Made For Celebration July 24 Springville will celebrate Pioneer Pio-neer day July 24, with an entertaining enter-taining program of events planned by the stake M. I. A., it was announced an-nounced Wednesday. With the as-sitaiTce as-sitaiTce of-rlic city council, entcrj tiiintnent will be provided for old and young. Children's sports with prizes to be awarded the winners, will be held in the forenoon, after the holiday has been fittingly ushered in by a sunrise salute. There will also be a forenoon concert given by the high school junior band. A feature of the entertainment will be a program sponsored by the D. U. P. organizations at the city park during the afternoon. A free candy shower, horse-shoe (pitching and softball games will be other forms of amusement. A band concert in the evening will conclude the day's program. A detailed account of events with lime, place etc., will be announced announc-ed in next week's Herald. |
