Show Local The M. I. A. musical festival is scheduled for May 6 at the high school, it was announced Sunday. Sun-day. The program provides a full evening's entertainment. Blaine Thorpe, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Thorpe has accepted a call to the L. D. S. Canadian mission. He will leave about May 6, while Harry Zabriskie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Zabriskie will leave the same time for the Texas Mission. Both will leave from the First ward. Frank Riggs of the Second ward will leave today for the Texas mission. There will be a total of about 75 senior seminary graduates this spring according to Superintendent Wm. T. Tew, and a like number of junior graduates. Their exercises exer-cises will be conducted May 13 and May 11 respectively. The Springville Flower Garden club meet is postponed until next Wednesday, at 8 p. m. at the Seminary building, when Lovell Morris, landscape gardener of the B. Y. U. will be the principal speaker. Ben Wheeler of this city underwent under-went a major operat;..in at the general hospital Tuesday. His condition was reported serious. |
