Show NEW BUSINESS COMMITTEE UNDER WAY The recently appointed fact finding committee of the Kiwanis club, met with business men of Lhe community, Tuesday night, in an effort to devise a plan to stimulate stim-ulate business in the community. A round table discussion, ia which heads of the various concerns con-cerns brought to light a number of community problems, which , through cooperation might be ; eliminated to the best advantage of all concerned, featured the meet. A resolution was passed in which the committee membera pledged themselves to work with i city officrs in the enforcement of existing ordinances relative to the acquiring of a city license for distribution of any and all types of advertising material from out-of-town. The committee aJso planned to send a circular letter to all business men of this city, ( with an explanation of the purpose of the fact finding committee, and inviting them to bring their problems prob-lems and cooperate with them in working out a plan for the betterment better-ment of the community, from a business standpoint. The committee also went on record as favoring construction of an art building here, and pledged their support to the project as well as to a plan for a community celebration here September 18, in observance of the settling of ' Springville. The committee is comprised of Chairman Dr. John R. Anderson, C. G. Salisbury, W. W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, Milton Harrison and W. E. Eddington. |
