Show S C! Art Drama to be Big Feature of Art Exhibit As Work Goes Forward . . . WV 'Plans are progressing for the art drama to be given in Spring-, Spring-, ville during the national art exhibit ex-hibit in April, it was announced at a meeting of M. I. A. department depart-ment chairmen Tuesday 'night. Howard McKenzie Who is directing di-recting the performance stated that the selection of the cast will soon be completed and that regular regu-lar rehearsals for tile entertainment entertain-ment will begin in the very near future. At the meeting Tuesday night, plans were discussed for the enlargement en-largement of the high school stage which it is stated, should be extended ex-tended about 10 feet. Principal W. W. Brockbank stated that 'he would take the proposition up with the school board, and it was thought plans could be arranged whereby the improvement could , be made. The first presentation of the .drama is tentatively set for April 10, when Governor' Henry H. j Blood and other state officials will be invited to attend. Matinee 1 performances will probably be given before this date The drama will depict the life of John Hafen, Springville artist, who did much at the beginning of the high school art project. The drama was composed by Mrs. Eva M. Crandall, intimate friend of the Hafen family. |
