Show flews Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson of this city announce the marriage mar-riage of their (laughter, Wanda Katherine, to Hugh. J. Ward, son of Mrs. P. S. Ward, also of Springville, which took place Mar. 26. The couple plan to make their home in this city. Members of the Entre Nous club were delightfully entertained Saturday Sat-urday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bird. Following a tastefully arranged and delicious luncheon served at small tables, progressive contract bridge was ' enjoyed. Prizes for the games was won by Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ch!lds. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald .Thorpe, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thorpe, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bird. Mrs. George Anderson and Mrs. Lucille Bird in company with a number of Provo fijends-, attended at-tended the concert given by Richard Rich-ard Bonelli, ' American baritone, last Thursday evening ,in Ogden. Mrs. Ellis Bird entertained a group of little folks at a birthday birth-day party at her home last Saturday Sat-urday for her daughter, Carina Jean, who was .six years old. A delightful time was spent with . games, after which a tasty lunch with Easter decorations and favors fa-vors were served to the many little friends. Mrs: Julia Dallin has returned to her home after spending several sev-eral weks with her son, Glen Dallin and family in California. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Johnson have returned to their home in Springville, after having spent the winter months in California. Among the lovely parties of the week was one given by the stake Beehive leaders at the Second ward hail, Monday night. The Builders group had the entertainment entertain-ment in charge. The program featured fea-tured an especially lintresting review of the book, "Leaves from My Journal," by Wilford Woodruff, Wood-ruff, given by Mrs. Luell Best. Mrs. Best and Mrs. Eva Hind-marsh Hind-marsh also conducted folk dancing danc-ing with Mrs. Belle Thomas at the piano. A uniquely arranged lunch in fancy cut paper sacks was served at the conclusion of the party to about 18 group leaders lead-ers and other officers.' Mrs. Herbart Towers has just returned from Vernal where she spent three weeks with the family fami-ly of Superintendent L. G. Noble of the district schools. Mrs. Noble ,a sister-in-law of Mrs. Tfcwers, recently died at her home .there. 1 Members nf the F'.dclity Bridge club entertained at a pot luck supper Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Rose Roylance. Seven club members, and Mrs. Mary Clegg, special giiest, attended. at-tended. Bridge was enjoyed with Mrs. Floss Cates and Mrs. Ann Johnson winning the prizes. The next meeting of the club will be at the home of Mrs.' Ann Jo'hn-son,. Jo'hn-son,. Friday, April 8, at 8 o'clock. An especially interesting and entertaining meeting of the Moth' ers' Study club was held Friday evening afc the Second ward hall, where Mrs. Eva Crandall was hostess. Mrs. Reta Harmer, who recently returned from the Hawaiian Ha-waiian islands gave a. talk on her trip and Mrs. G. W,. Menden-hall, Menden-hall, also a recent visitor to . the islands, - gave a talk on her experiences ex-periences and showed moving pictures pic-tures of interesting incidents in connection with her trip, and displayed dis-played a number of articles which she brought on her return from the islands. Misses Barbira Gud-mundsen Gud-mundsen and Beth Mendenhall entertained en-tertained with a piano duet and Miss Gudmundsen with a piano solo. In conclusion, .lunch was 'served by the hostess to 22 club members and 25 guests. The next meeting of the Mothers- Study-ttLub. ,will. be.. Ross Bradford attended as a special guest. A nicely arranged dinner was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miner Sunday in celebration cele-bration of the birthdays of four members, of their family, Mrs. Miner, their son . Lee, and daughters, daugh-ters, Harriet and Evelyn. Guests at . the dinner besides immediate members of the Miner family, were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hansen, Miss Zina- Johnson, Miss. Maria Jqhnson, :Elwood Mead, Fred Johnson, Miss Marjorie Child and Bert Strong. Mrs. Viola Beardall returned Monday from a three weeks' visit with her two sisters in Portland, Oregon. - Mrs. G. W. Mendenhall was hostess to members of the Alpha Beta club at her home Wednesday evening. An interesting program featured the evening, with a fine paper on current events prepared by Mrs. Lillian Huntington, read by Mrs. H. M. Weight, a report of the district convention given by Mrs. Emil Ostlund and the showing of moving pictures of her recent trip to the Hawaiian islands by Mrs. G. W. Mendenhall. Menden-hall. Mrs. A. O.
