Show riage of their daughter Etta to Frank Paxman, also of Spring-ville Spring-ville which tok place August 7, in Salt Lake City. The young couple are making their home in Springville. One of the lovely parties of the late summer season was the luncheon given Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Emma Gardner Gard-ner for a number of Springville and out-of-town friends. Small tables were beautifully decorated to carry out a late summer idea with French marigolds and other autumn flowers in brown, yellow, red and green. Unique favors carried car-ried out a "Summer Flirtation" theme. Guests included, Mrs. La Preal Packard, Mrs. Fern Mace, Miss Ida Worthen, Mrs. Mariam Mendenhall of Salt Lake City, Mrs. George Balllf, Mrs. J. J. Weight, Mrs. Lottie Worthen, Miss Hermese Peterson, Mrs. Hannah C. Packard, Mrs. Sterling Price, all of Provo, Mrs. E. E. Knudsen of Spanish ForK, Miss Arlene Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Mrs. Mary Oakes, Mrs. Jennie Clyde, Mrs. Emil Ostlund, Mrs. George Anderson Miss Hazel : Anderson Mrs. Elizabeth Salisbury Salis-bury Mrs. John Dougall, Mrs. Vilat Reynolds, Mrs. Vinn Boyer, Mrs. Floss Johnson, Mrs. Catherine Cather-ine Wood, Mrs. Blanch Beal, Miss Naomi Deal, Miss Carol Bird, Miss Effie Kelsey. - Members of the 4-H Nimble Thimble club under the direction of their leader, Mrs. Harvey Hutchinsen spent one day of the past week on au outing at Spring Lake. The girls enjoyed swimming swim-ming and picnicking. There were present Miss Marian Davis, Miss Anna Lee Walker, Mss Dona Sor-enson, Sor-enson, Miss Maurine Martian, Miss Lucille Phillips, Miss Joy Roylance and Mss Hannah Marie Billings. Mrs. Arvil Bird and children spent the past week with relatives in Salt Lake City. Miss Beverly Bird, a daughter remained for an indefinite visit. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gardner of Delta were guests Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Wood. Mr. andw Mrs. Bliss Hoover and children and Mrs. Hoover's sister, Miss Ruth Mendenhall, have recently returned from a delightful two weeks trip to the northwest and Canada. They also spent some time at Glacier National Na-tional park. Mrs. Vivian Carlsen of Ogden spent the past. week visiting relatives rela-tives and friends in Springville. Mrs. Kate Hancock of Raton, New Mexco, has returned to. her home after spending the summer with Mrs. Harvey Hutchinsen and family and other relatives and friends in Payson. Mrs. Hancock is an aunt of Mrs. Hutchinsen. Among the delightful parties of the past week was that of the Second ward Gleaner girls held Wednesday night at the home of Miss Eva Starr. The group enjoyed en-joyed games and a tasty lunch.
