Show DEE SANFORD FAREWELL SET In honor of Dee Sanford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, who leaves next month on a mission to the Tahitian Islands, a farewell fare-well social will be held in the Frrst ward beginning at 8 p. m., Friday. All ward members and friends are cordially invited to attend. at-tend. A delightful program and dancing danc-ing has been arranged for the occasion under the direction of Wi'lford Manwaring of the ward bishopric. Woodrow Weight will offer the opening jjrayer to be followed by a vocal solo by Elden Mackley. Miss Phylis Smart will give a violin solo; Freeman Bird and Golden Taylor, a vocal duet; Elaine Brockbank, a reading; J. W. Olsen and company, a vocal number; Thora Whiting, vocal solo. On Sunday night, a farewell testimonial will be gi-ven for the departing missionary and Mathias W. Cowley of Salt Lake City, who has just recently returned from a short term mission m Europe and a year's tour of the continent mission headquarters, will be the principal speaker. Mr. Cowley is the father of Mrs. J. W. Olsen of this city and is reported to be an interesting and well informed speaker. , Other fine program numbers are being arranged for the occasion, and all are invited to attend. |
