Show x 17 Local I : , The consumer problem classes, being held in the public library every Friday night, will not meet this week, but will convene again next Friday, December 2, to begin a new course entitled, "The Consumer Con-sumer Investigates." The public is invited to attend the classes free of charge. Schools will close .Wednesday night for the annual Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing holiday, reopening the following fol-lowing Monday. Appropriate programs pro-grams are being arranged in some schools for Wednesday afternoon. Everything is in readiness for the annual Ag club ball to be held Wednesday evening. December Decem-ber 23, at Memorial hall. Free lurkeys, special decorations and numerous other attractions will add to a gay time for everyone. (Special to The Herald) PROVO, Utah Lucille Jenkins of Springville, has been elected vice-president of Lamba , Delta Sigma, new national L. D. S. church sorority, which is organized organi-zed at Brigham Young university 1 this year for fhe first time. This organization will participate partici-pate in educational, social and service activities, as other campus units, and in addition to this, they will carry on a program to develop spirituality among themselves them-selves and their classmates. (Special to The Herald) PROVO, Utah Sara Marie Sinks and Tess Tyler of Springville, Spring-ville, are on the committee sponsoring spon-soring the Associated Women Students' preference ball at Brig-bam Brig-bam Young university here on December 2. The unique feature of this ball is that the coeds select their escorts es-corts and buy the tickets. To secure a partner for the dance, he young women place a list of 'our desired men, in the order of her preference, with the date bureau. As far as possible, each firl is dated with the fellow of her choice. However, seniors are ?cn preference over juniors, juniors over sophomores, and sophomores over freshmen. The theme of the ball will be "In a Snow King's Palace," and "otic decorations, a floor - show, and dance program will carry out 'his feature. The most popular "'ale, as shown by the preference 'ists, will be crowned "Snow King."
