Show Deer Strays I nto Town A transient deer, presumably pre-sumably knowing good feed, stopped one day last week to sample a loaded car at the local plant of the Utah Poultry Producers Cooperative Coopera-tive association,' on South Main street. As a result it is serving un undetermined sentence at the state fish and game farm. The deer was seen feed- ' ing at the car by Crandall who notified Manager Lionel Miller and H. C. Rigtrup. The men succeeded in roping the deer and holding it until Superintendent William Witney Wit-ney arrived from the state farm. The same animal was reported re-ported seen earlier m the day near the home of Amisa Rowland south of Hobble Creek on First East street. Being frightened by dogs it made a short cut through adjoining lots leaping high fences and hedges with comparative com-parative ease. It was later seen inspecting the high school campus. It is possible the deer followed the creek down into town, It was stated. |
