Show BOATS BATTLE STQRU ON LAKE , SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 11 (U.R Two amateur boatmen today to-day were recovering from the effects of a harrowing battle against death during a storm on Great Salt Lake. They were 29-year-old Earnest Kimball, and his brother, R. C. Kimball, 27. Both live in Salt Lake City. They were returning from Antelope Island late yesterday yester-day in their tiny, 13-foot sailboat when dust and brine stopped the craft's motor. Oars proved useless in guiding the boat. Finally the brothers plunged overboard and succeeded in keeping the bow of the boat into the wind, to prevent it from capsizing. They paddled to shore when the storm suubsided, exhausted ex-hausted but uninjured. |
