HANSEN A chemist not long ago, took the tobacco used in an average cigarette and soaked in several teaspoons of water, hen injected a portion of it under the skin of a cat. The cat almost immediately im-mediately went into convulsions, and died in fifteen minutes. Dogs have been killed with a single nicotine poisoning. A canary bird that had been placed in a dining room of a hotel in Chicago, 111., to bring cheer , with its beautiful song notes at a men's club dinner meeting, dropped drop-ped dead shortly after the men lit up their cigars and cigarettes. The smoke-laden air killed the bird. (Chicago Daily News). Dr. Herbert H. Tidswell, member mem-ber of the Royal College of Surgeons, Sur-geons, England, says: "The evidence evi-dence contained in my histories proves the high vitality of the children of non-smokers.
