Show Members of the '"Old Friends" ' club Friday night were delightfully delight-fully entertained at the home of Mrs. La Von Averett. During the card games of the evening, Miss Gladys Groneman, special guest won high score prize. Others in attendance were Mrs. Fam Aver- , ett, Mrs. Lillie Hume, Mrs. Retta j Kelley, Mrs. Muriel Robertson,; Mrs. Lola Ewing, Mrs. Gertrude Ciements, Mrs. Thelma Cnerring-ton, Cnerring-ton, Mrs. Marjorie Ryan, Mrs. Ila Cranmer, Mrs. Vanza Mann and Miss Helen Averett. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Anderson and daughter of Heber City, and! Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dixon of I Payson were the Sunday guests j of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miner in I this city. The group also attend- ed the art exhibit at the high school during the afternoon. Jovalty club members were guests of Mrs. Mabel Simkins at her home Friday evening. Tulips fcrmed pretty decorations for the entertaining rooms and a delicious de-licious luncheon preceeded the evening's diversion of bridge. Mrs. Kate Lasson was a special guest, during the evening. The next club meeting is scheduled for May 8, at the home of Mrs. Max Packard. On Wednesday night Mrs. Mary , Friel was hostess Lu- lAcmuers of the Ava Delma club at iier home. , After a nicely arranged supper cards were enjoyed. High score for the evening's games was awarded to Mrs. Carrie Tripp'and the second prize to Mrs. Leona Allen. Special guests at the party were Mrs. Lloyd Bird, Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Miner, Mrs. Clair Gudmund-scn. Gudmund-scn. The club will meet again on May 6, at the home of Mrs. Dolly Smith. A review of a two-act play, "Cradle Song," by Miss Leola Green of the isrigham Young university, uni-versity, Provo, will feature a j Mother's day program given by the Ladies' Literary club, Thurs-1 day evening, May 7 at the home 01 Mrs. Ruby Christensen. Mrs. Mae Groesbeck will be assisting hostess. host-ess. Mrs. Helen Crandall and Mrs. Julia Sumsion are in charge of the program, musical numbers for which are also being arranged. Miss Helen Carpenter and Mrs. David Erickson of Salt Lake City motored to Springville Sunday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. 'Charles Carpenter. They also visited visit-ed the art exhibit at the high school. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall of this city visited their daughter and son-in-law. Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Anderson of Bunkerville, Nev. over the week end. Dr. and Mrs. Anderson Ander-son also accompanied them to Boulder City where they viewed the dam.
