Show J. EMMETT BIRD IS APPOINTED POSTMASTER J. Emmett Bird of this city recently re-cently received official appointment appoint-ment from Washing-ton, D. C, as postmaster of the Springville office, of-fice, and has taken over the new work. Mr. Bird succeeds Charles Boyer who has been postmaster here for the past eight years. Mr. Bird has served in numerous numer-ous public capacities during the past several years, and is fully qualified to perform his new duties dut-ies with outstanding efficiency in the opinion of postal officials. He is at present, president of Kolob L. D. S. stake and president of the Nebo school district board of education. He has also served as chairman of the Democratic precinct pre-cinct for the past three years. |
