SOCIETY NEVS One of the most outstanding and beautifully arrangd socal events of the ween, was given Wednesday afternoon at the high school art . gallery, when members mem-bers of the Home Culture club and the Nineteenth Century club of Provo, were entertained at the annual art tea, sponsored by the local club. Mi-mbers of the Ladies Literary club were delightfully entertained entertain-ed Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Helen Crandall. President Mercedes Anderson vas in charge of the meeting. Members of the Current Study club last Monday night, were delightfully de-lightfully entertained at the home of ,Miss Mary Leone Cooper in Pleasant Grove. The tea table was artistically arranged arrang-ed to carry out the club colors of yellow and green. Early spring blossoms in yellow were used for a centerpiece with tall green tapers tap-ers on either end. The luncheon was tastefully and attractively served to correspond with the general color scheme. Wingate gave an interesting and instructive talk on the many ueautiful and outstanding outstand-ing pictures. In honor of Bishop A. G. Peterson Pet-erson of the First ward whose birthday was Saturday, a number of friends delightfully entertained with a surprise party at his home in the evening. An enjoyable time was spent with games, social chat and lunch. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Blanch G. The theme carried out was that of Spring with yellow daffodils and white narcissis servink as the decorations. It was the annual an-nual Booster party at. which the new members were selected. ' A very tasty dinner was served to the following members: Marva Perry, Jean Ullock, Pauline Clyde, Naomi Pierce, Enid Pennington, Erma Holley, Berniece Johnson, Elaine Brockbank, Elaine Nielson, Dama Grant, Helen Tew, Erma ; Mendenhall, Bethe Loveridge and 'the hostess. The following girls' were chosen I as new members: Grace Holley, Lucille Melcalf, Florence Bram-mall, Bram-mall, Ila Clyde, Lois Johnson, Irene Bird and Virginia Tuttle.
