Show HUNT VICTIM SERVICES HELD Largely attended and impressive impress-ive funeral services were conducted conduct-ed at Mapleton Monday for Fredrick Fred-rick Allan, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. t Allan, who died Friday, from complications resulting result-ing from gun shot wounds which he suffered in an accident on the opening of the pheasant hunting season, November 3. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery, under the direction of Claudin Funeral Home. Born in Mapleton, October 18, 1916, "Fred" as he was known by friends and relatives, had lived there always. He attended the Mapleton grade schools and the Springville high school, was thought much of by all with whom he associated. According to a report of the accident which resulted in Allen's death, he was climbing from his car, in the fields west of Springville, Spring-ville, preparatory to hunting, when his gun slipped and was accidentally accident-ally discharged. A large portion of the shot entered the young man's shoulder and barely missed a vital spot in his neck. Complications Compli-cations resulted and caused his death about three weeks later. Besides his parents, he is survived sur-vived by his widow, Bernice Evans Allan, a son, Robert Wililam Allan Al-lan and the following brothers and sisters, William Warner Allan.
