Show TO OBSERVE 57TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Binks, well known and highly respected residents of Springville, and one of the oldest married couples in the e?Ty will observe their fifty-seventh fifty-seventh wedding anniversary at their home Friday, February 19. Due to Mrs. Binks' ill health, a celebration special will not be held, but an invitation is extended to their friends to call' during the day. - Born in Pittsburg, Pa.,- April. 23, 1859,' Mr. Binks was only three years old when, with his father and a hrother, ne crossed the plans by ox-team to Utah. His father buried the mother and a son in one grave on the plains. They settled at first in Bountiful where Mr. Binks as a small boy had many experiences with Indians In-dians of that vicinity, and now recalls many stories of early Indian In-dian troubles, s&v. Binks came from Bountiful, to Springville in 1875, and has lived here since. Mrs. Binks, the former Ann D. Bramali; a' daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bramali, was born here November 15, 1856, and has lived here practically all of her life. Mrs. Binks' activities, especially especi-ally during her later life, has been confined chiefly to her home and its surroundings in which she takes a special pride. The couple were married February Febru-ary 19, 1980, in the Endowment House, Salt Lake City. They have always been loyal supporters to church, charity, and civic projects. They are parents of nine children, five of whom are living: John Binks, Salt Lake City; Miss May Binks, Mrs. Emma Rowland, Charles Char-les and Frank Binks, Springville. They also have 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. |
