Show JENNIE EDWARDS SERVICES HELD Funeral services were held in j the Fourth ward chapel Monday afternoon for Mrs. Jennie Chase Edwards, wife of William Edwards Ed-wards and a former resident of this city, who died Friday, at her home in Los Angeles, Calif., of heart disease. The services were under the direction of Bishop Leo G. 'Robertson. 'Rob-ertson. The speakers were Solon A. Wood of the ward bishopric; Peter Nielson, former bi-shop of the third ward, and S. J. Boyer. Music consisted of a vocal duet by Jackie and Louise Evans, a vocal solo by Mrs. Evelyn M. Boyer, and a vocal duct by Mrs. Boyer and Mrs. Ellen Whitmore. The invocation was offered by A. G. Thorn and the benediction by Bert Miner. Floyd Miner dedicated dedi-cated the grave at the City cemetery. ceme-tery. Mrs. Edwards was born in Springville February 9. 1882, a daughter of Solomon D. and Annie Huntington Chase, early pioneers. She lived in Springville until about 20 years ago when she moved to Salt Lake City and later to California. Cal-ifornia. Mrs. Edwards spent most of the past summer with relatives and friends here. She s survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Olsen Ol-sen of Los Angeles, California. |
