Show Vote Delayed On Roosevelt Court Plan WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 (U.I!) The House judiciary committee today delayed action for "at least a week" on President Roosevelt's proposal for reorganization of the federal judiciary. Advised of the House committee action, Speaker William B. Bank-head Bank-head suggested that it might be wise if the senate went ahead and acted first on the president's proposals. pro-posals. "In view of the situation in the House," Bankhead said, "With numerous appropriation bills due to eome up I should think that the senate should have a better opportunity to act first." The senate, however, has thus far shown ho indication of moving any faster than the house toward actual consideration of the Roosevelt Roose-velt program. |
