Show 85 4-H GIRLS AWARDEDPINS Approximately 85 4-H chit) girls in the Springville district received pins designating com- j pletion of their 4-H work during the summer at achievement exercises ex-ercises held at Memorial hall, under direction of Mrs. .1. C j Nielson. supervisor and assistant, Mrs. Verl Jones. In behalf of the , Springville Banking company, F. C. Packard presented the pins and spoke briefly on the value j of 4-H work. Miss Bessie Kirkham, Utah county demonstration agent, congratulated con-gratulated the club members and their leaders on . the outstanding number to complete the work. J. Emmett - Bird gave a short talk during the exercises and Lucille Miller and Anna Lee , Walker also told of their proj- j ects. Musical numbers were also i given by club members. J In connection with the pro- gram, an exhibition of sewing and other projects completed by the girls, was held during the afternoon. It was the largest dis- ; play of 4-H work ever held m the community and the largest group ever to complete their summer- project work. |
