Show WARREN FAMILY HOLD ANNUAL 3-DAY REUNION With more than 150 relatives in attendance, the annual reunion re-union of the Warren family, a majority of whom were descendants descend-ants of Amos Sweet Warren, concluded Monday, following a 3-day program of entertainment at Maple canyon. Remembered by older residents of this community as an early Indian interpreter, Amos S- Warren War-ren is said to have been a member mem-ber of the first pioneer company which came to Springville. A brief history of his life and his accomplishments, chiefly in connection con-nection with his work in settling disputes and problems which arose between the Indians and early settlers, was given during the reunion program. Featuring the gathering also was the large number of relatives rela-tives who came from Idaho and other distant places to attend the reunion. Bonfire programs, sports, picnic lunches and general gen-eral visiting were enjoyed by those in attendance. Officers for the coming year were named during a business meeting as follows: .Arthur Gallup of Provo, Pro-vo, president, succeeding John Warren of Spanish Fork; Leo Warren of Pocatello, Idaho, vice-president; vice-president; Fern Ostler, secretary-treasurer; Leo Felix, program pro-gram chairman; Warren Perry and Wei by Warren, the latter of Mapleton, sports chairmen; La-Vell La-Vell Ostler of Provo, Amos Warren War-ren of Pocatello, Idaho, and Nora Carter of Spanis'h Fork, genealogical genea-logical committee. |
