G (UP) French advances ad-vances against German troops, presumably on the western front, were announced in French war communique number five at 10:45 a. m. today (3:45 a. m. CST). Its i publication coincided with a new air raid alarm which temporarily closed dowii communications and sent Parisians scurrying to underground under-ground shelters. It was announced officially that the alarm was due to a fleet of German planes crossing the frontier fron-tier at 10 a. m. (3 a. m.
