Show Cleann-up On I Fruit Trees Is Planned A cleanup campaign on all fruit i trees of the Springville urea is to bo launched soon, according to o decision reached at a meeting Df Springville and Maple ton fruit growers Monday evening. He suggested sug-gested that the town be divided into in-to districts and each district surveyed. sur-veyed. Officers of the clean-up campaign were appointed as follows': B. M. Mcndcnhall, president; Will Brown, vice president; H. G. Thorpe, secretary; sec-retary; Leo Marshbanks, Joseph Carneseeca, Mapleton, and Abe Jenkins, Jen-kins, executive committeemen. An outline of the federal farm board plan in regards to coopera-: live marketing of fruits and vegetables veg-etables was discussed by B. H. King of Denver, representative of tho farm board. Organization of a state grower's asociation was urged. A short history of cooperative marketing mar-keting was also given. Mr. King I visualized a future whin local farm bureaus could be joined with state associations and tho states into regions and regions, into national na-tional marketing organizations. The advantages of a strong state association were outlined by A. E. Kelly, state secretary of the association asso-ciation at the Monday's meeting. County Agent Anson B. Call was in charge. |
