Show SOCIETY N&VS An enjoyable Christmas party wa3 given members of the LaConda club Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. T. L. Callister Jr., in this city. Christmas games were played and a delicious luncheon served. Lovely gifts were exchanged exchang-ed during the afternon. The delightful de-lightful affair was enjoyed by the following members: Mrs. Eliss Childs, Mrs. Claude C. Cardall. Mrs. George B. Carter, Mrs. LeRoy J Olaen, Mrs. J. Clyde Knudsen, Mrs. Paul A. Thorn, Mrs. Walter F. Whitehead, and guests: Mrs. Lowry Anderson, Mrs. T. L. Callister Sr., and Mrs. Bramwell of Provo. Mrs. E. T. Crandall was hostess Friday evening to members of the Ladies Literary club at the annual Christmas party. Progressive games were features of the evening eve-ning followed by a tasty lunch and the exchange of Christmas gifts. The home was beautifully decorated decor-ated with Christmas colors and emblems. Present were the following follow-ing members: Mrs. Oliver Dalton, Mrs. C. G. Salisbury, Mrs. Bert Groesbeck, Mi s. George Si raw, Mrs. W. N. Grooms, Mrs. W. H. Brown, Mrs. Grant Crandall, Mrs. LaCelle Sumsion, Mrs. Lowry Anderson, Mrs. T. L. Callister Jr., Mrs. Frank Salisbury, Mrs. Monty Groesbeck and Mrs. Evan Jacobsen. Gaiety club members were entertained enter-tained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peterson in Springville. A large Christmas tree was the feature fea-ture of the decorative scheme, and tiny red candles in green holders were presented as favors. Christmas Christ-mas gifts were exchanged. Progressive Pro-gressive "500" was played with Earl Ferguson receiving the high score prize and the consolation favor going go-ing to Bruce Haws. A taty repast re-past followed and dancing was an enjoyable feature. Eleven couples from Provo and this city were in attendance. The girls of the Fourth ward Beehive class were pleasantly entertained en-tertained Tuesday evening at the home of their leader Miss Eda Wheeler. Gamei; and a lunch were features followed by Christmas gifts exchanged among the mem-; bers present. 1 The Novelty Circle girls of the, high school were entertained with a Christmas party Saturday i evening eve-ning at the home of Miss Mae Taylor Tay-lor Saturday evening. A large Christmas tree beautifully decorated dec-orated stood in one corner and s smaller one adorned the. dining table. Gifts were exchanged and music and lunch were enjoyed by all. Present were Misses Bess Fin" ley, Helen Wheeler, Norrwa Averett, Ardith Madsen, Mary Hadley, Fern Boyer, Wanda Stewart, LaBarge Nlelson, Edna Smith, Leon Crooks and Virginia River. Mrs. Lou Binks was hostess to the ladies of the Mothers' Study club at the annual Christmas party Friday evening. Preceeding the exchange ex-change of Christmas gifts among members present an interesting program was given as fo'lows: piano solo, Miss Melpha Binks ; jading, Carah Marie Binks; Christmas stories, Mrs. Arthur Fin-ley. Fin-ley. Mrs. L. L. Baiter. Games were also a feature of the evening entertainment en-tertainment and was followed by a dainty lunch. The Gleaner girls of the First ; ward M.J. A. were delightfully entertained en-tertained Monday evening with a Christmas party at the home of their leader, Mrs. G. D. Kennedy. Progressive "rook" was the game of tho evening during which high score was won by Miss Bessie Weight. Christmas gifts were exchanged ex-changed among those present and a delicious luncheon concluded the party. ( Mrs. George Crandall was hostess host-ess to members of the S. T. club at her home Saturday evening at the annual Christmas party. Progressive Progress-ive auction bridge was featured with high score favor won by Mrs. Amisa Kowland. The rooms were pretty with Christmas decorations and gifts were exchanged during the evening. The annual Chiistmas party of' tlv N. I. P. club was held Monday with Miss Luell Straw as hostess. A beautiful Christmas tree together with other Christmas emblems were attractive room decorations. A "put luck" lunch was a special feature of the evening together with gam?s, and social chat.
