Show BUSIES RECOVERy isjntD Regain Lost Ground Since Banking Moratorium WASHINGTON, April 1 (U.R) Business has recovered all the ground lost during the banking paralysis early this month, and is beginning to feel the effects of the usual spring rise, trade advices from various sections of the country showed today. A steady rise in general public confidence also continued this week. Various business aid programs of the federal government were instrumental in-strumental in stimulating business in many directions, and a further strengthening of the banking structure struc-ture contributed to a better feeling generally. , ' . , . Trade advices ad-vices to the department of commerce com-merce showed that, thousands of men were being put back to work and millions of dollars were being thrown into business channels in connection with the legalization of beer.; ' ' " ' Immediate effects were felt in the brewing and allied industries as new equipment was ordered. The increased purchasing power of those connected with the brewing industry is expected to bolster other lines of business.- Indirectly the return of beer was expected to help business by increasing in-creasing the government's revenues reve-nues nearly $150,000,000 in annual beer taxes. This will tend to strengthen the government's credit and remove a part of the tax burden bur-den from other businesses. . Meanwhile, the government went ahead with economy measures designed de-signed to slash more than $500,-000,000 $500,-000,000 from annual expenditures.
