Show Warnick To Manage Utah County Fair; Farrer, President C. L. Warnick of Pleasant Grove was rc - appointed manager of the Utah county fair after he had resigned as president of the fair board, at a meeting held Wednesday evening in the city and county coun-ty building. Mr. Warnick actea as the manager mana-ger of the fair during 1929 and was successful in conducting the best exhibit that has ever been held in Utah cunty. His reappointment reap-pointment to this position will insure in-sure even a more successful exhibit this year, according to D. Orlo Allen, Al-len, secretary. Joseph Tt Farrer was unanimously unani-mously elected as the president of, the fair board to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Mr. Warnick War-nick It was the desire of the fair board members present, in view of the fact that Utah county being an agriculture section, to entourage entour-age greater agricultural displays this year than before. It was urged at the meeting that agricultural classes in schools and producers as a whole throughout th'e county start planning now for their exhibits ex-hibits next fell. The enthusiasm of the members of the boa rd points towards an outstanding fair for Utah county during the present year. J. S. Skinner of Spanish Fork invited in-vited the fair board to attend the livestock show on April 9, to be held in Spanish Fork. They were also invited to attend the banquet at 7:30 p. m. in the city pavilion. The invitation was accepted and all members agreed to be in attendance at-tendance at the show. The fair board also went on record rec-ord as supporting the art exhibit at Springville, Strawberry day at Pleasant Grove, Poultvy lay at American Fork, and OiMon day at Pay son. Members of the fair board who attended the session were: M. S. Lott, Lehi; Eli J. Clayson and Rudolph Konold, American Fork; C. L. Warnick and H. V. Swenson, Pleasant Grove; Roy Park, Orem ; Clayton Jenkins. L. W. Nims, Joseph T. Farrer, Mrs. E. H. Eastmond, J. W. Thayne and D. Orlo Allen, all of Provo; John T. Mendenhall and Earl Hutchings. of Springville; J. S. Skinner, Neil 1 Dahle and Roy Taylor, of Spanish Fork; Dr. L. D. Stewart and Commissioner Com-missioner Charles H. White of Payson, and II. W. Gore of Genola. |
