NEW YORK, Dec. 26 (U.R) A driving snowstorm enveloped New York City today, impeding traffic and causing many delays. The storm was general throughout through-out New Jersey, central and western west-ern New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, according to the local weather bureau. More than an inch had fallen by the time most of New York was ready to go to work. Surface transportation was delayed because be-cause of slippery streets. The weather bureau said the storm probably extended as far west as Indiana and into southern Michigan. |
