Show 5000 DRIVERS' LICENSES SOLD Nearly 5000 automobile drivers' licenses have been sold in Utah county up until Saturday night, according to Victor H. Snow, in charge of the Provo field office in the city and county building. A record in single-day sales was made at Spanish Fork on Friday when Paul Holt and Grant Thur-good, Thur-good, in charge of the temporary branch office, disposed of 647 licenses. li-censes. Sales at the other communities com-munities were as follows: American Ameri-can Fork 620; Pleasant Grove 617; Lehi 462, Springville 494 and Pay-son Pay-son 475. Friday was the heaviest day for sales in Provo when 250 were issued, is-sued, making a total of 1367 in Provo. A rush is expected at the Provo office next week, the final week before the law demanding the licenses li-censes goes into effect. Everyone who drives a car is expected to have one of the licenses, which sell for 25 cents and are good for three years. An average or about 2M- licenses li-censes have been sold for each car thus far. Mr. Snow predicts a sale of about 10,000 in Utah county. |
