Show EDITOR RETIRES With this issue of Springville Herald, N. C. Hicks, for several vears editor and manager of this paper, will retire from newspaper work. During this period he has enjoved the friendship of a large number of business busi-ness and professional men of this community, which he appreciates. Mr. Hicks will be succeeded by Harrison Conover, formerly of Provo and a graduate of Brigham Young University, who now is a resident of Springville. Mr. Conover has had considerable newspaper experience, ex-perience, and is especially equipped to handle the work of this paper. His plans contemplate the establishment establish-ment of a printing plant in this city in the near future, where he will conduct a job printing business along with the newspaper. Having worked in the mechanical department of the printing business for several years, he will enter the newspaper and printing field here with a valuable experience. In retiring from the editorship of this paper, Mr. Hicks does so with mingled feelings of regret and appreciation ap-preciation of the support the paper has received during his management. As a parting word he extends to the people of Springville his heartiest wishes for a prosperous, pros-perous, happy New Year, and continued community success. |
