During the evening of progressive 500 Mrs. Mai.y Bird won the high score prize and Mrs. Fay Nelson of Spanish Fork the guest prize. Other guests were Mrs. Vadal Chllds and Mrs. Beitha Stewart. An attractive and i tasty luncheon was served by the hostess early in the evening. specially arranged Christmas programs will be presented in the various ward Relief societies next t uesday aft; rnoon, according to ,fficers in charge. All organization members- and friends are invited to attend. Mrs. Josephine Singleton gave a delightful little birthday party last Saturday afternoon for her son Max-, who was five yeavs old. Games and a lunch were enjoyed by the little guests. Mrs. Will Phillips entertained at a nicely arranged birthday party at her home Friday afternoon, for her little son Billie who is seven j'L-art, old. Twelve little friends attended and enjoyed an afternoon of games followed by a luncheon served at , one long table. Mrs. Martha Harrison gave a well appointed dinner at the hotel Thursday evening with Professor I Maud May Babcock of the U. of U., and Mrs. J. W. Whiting as special guests. Professor Babcock later ! gave the reading of 'Colonel Bees- ; ley's Christmas Party" at the Third j ward chapel. Mrs. Frank Brown is spending the week with her sister. Miss June Pitcher in Salt Lake. The young couple were married the preceding week, at Provo. Included Includ-ed in the guest list at the reception, were fifty relatives and close friends. A program, social chat and games were enjoyed, followed by the presentation of numerous beautiful gifts. The host and hostess host-ess served a delicious luncheon at the close of the party. Vergene Simkins of Beaver spent Thursday and Friday as the gues' of Mr. and Mis. Will Phillips. He also visited his aunt and uncle Mr. ; and Mrs. J. C. Simkins in this , city. s v.
