Show POLICE CHIEF'S REPORT SROWS FINES INCREASE Springville city coffers wer somewhat enriched during- 1932 by the large amount of fines made during the year totaling $2,293.50, according to the annual police report. re-port. The report for 1931 totaled fines at $686.50. Of the total of 167 arrests made during the year, 114 -were for traffic violations compared with 32 for the same offense in 1931; 22 for intoxication; 15 disturbing the peace; 3 possession of liquor; 2 selling liquor; 2 assault; -2 petty larceny; 3 operating without a license li-cense and the remainder for minor offenses. Lodgings in the city jail overnight over-night were granted 373 persons compared with 39S for 1931. Meals Were given to 87 persons at a total cost of $26.10. Automobile accidents investigated investigat-ed numbered 25 with one person killed and eight injured, compared with 53 accidents the preceding year, 2 killed arid 36 injured. |
