Show FINE TRIBUTES ARE SPOKEN OF CHURCHLEADER The Seocnd ward ohapet was filled to capacity, Friday afternoon, by relatives and friends who gathered gath-ered to pay final tributes to J. Frank Bringhurst, first counselor in the Kolob stake presidency, and prominent (citizen of Springville, who died at his home, Tuesday evening. By special request Bishop Ernest Ern-est A. Strong of the Second ward, son-in-law of Mr. Bringhurst's presided. pre-sided. Apostle Joseph F. Merrill of the Council of the Twelve, Salt Lake, was one of the speakers. Remarks were also made by President J. Emmet t Bird of Kofob stake and A. W. Harmer of the high council. Each eulogized the splendid life and character of President Bringhurst. Elmo Coffman sang "Going Home" accompanied by Mrs. LaCelle Sum-sion. Sum-sion. A vocal duet, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," was rendered by Misses Helen and Margaret Fox. B. F. Pulham, organist of Salt Lake, played, the selection "O My Father." Miss Hazel Anderson rendered a violin solo accompanied by Miss Gloria FrieD at the piano. George L. Hyde offered the invocation, in-vocation, the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by John S. Wardsworth, and Patriarch John H. Manwaring dedicated the grave at the Ever-i Ever-i green cemetery. Th'e esteem with which President Presi-dent Bringhurst and the family are held in the community, was evidenced evi-denced by the large attendance and the profusion of beautiful floral flor-al offerings. |
