A nicely arranged luncheon was served by the hostess. host-ess. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen were guests at the annual ball of the B. Y. U. Women's organization at Provo Saturday evening. After the dance they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh W. Peterson at a midnight supper. Mrs. G. A. Anderson was hostess host-ess to the Alpha Beta club ladies at their annual Christmas party Friday, Mrs. William Witney was assisting hostess. The club members mem-bers sang Christmas carols after which Miss Fannie Rowland entertained en-tertained with two beautiful Christmas stories and Miss Hazel Anderson with a number of B. Y. U. students furnished instrumental and vocal music. The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion oc-casion and the luncheon carried out a pretty Christmas color scheme. At the close of the social Santa Claus arrived to distribute a lovely gift to each lady present. The Gleaner girls of the Fourth ward M. I. A. were delightfully entertained at the home of Miss Mary Roylance, leader, who was assisted also by the other class leader, Mrs. Emma Long on Tuesday Tues-day evening. It was the annual class Christmas party. The home was prettily decorated in Christmas Christ-mas colors and emblems. Cootie was the feature of entertainment and in conclusion a tasty lunch was served and gifts exchanged. Complimentary to Miss Alccn Wheeler, a bride of the near future, fut-ure, her sisters Mrs. Mane Grannie Gran-nie r and Mrs. Inez Parker entertained enter-tained at a miscellaneous shower Monday evening. About 26 close friends and relatives attended and enjoyed a delightful evening of games and general sociability. After a tasty luncheon, the honor guest was piesentcd with a beauti-tul beauti-tul assortment of bridal gifts. Miss Wheeler was honored with a shower on Saturday evening to which a large group of fellow-teachers fellow-teachers and friends were invited. Progressive games and luncheon were enjoyable features of the party with many gifts received by the guest of honor, i - j The Mi-Kan-Wee girls of Maple-ton Maple-ton held a ceremonial Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Jessie McDonald. Miss Edna Wiscombe led during the exercises. In attendance attend-ance were Mrs. Vanda Jensen, ciass leader, Mrs. Mabel Hanson, Mrs. Zona Houtz, Mrs. Millie Bird of the presidency; Hannah Mcn-denhall, Mcn-denhall, Bernice Harmer, Wilma Binks, Beulah Whiting, Virginia Bird. Genieve Bird, Irene Bird, Marie Stone, Etta Johnson and the hostess. The girls have adopted into their tribe Mrs. Mary Ellen Binks of Mapleton. Members of the Home Culture club were entertained at their annual an-nual Christmas party Friday afternoon, aft-ernoon, at the home of Mrs. J. F. Wingato. Mrs. Ross Bradford entertained en-tertained with Christmas stories during the party and also gave vocal selections. Mrs. Blanch Hales furnished piano solos. A nicely arranged ar-ranged luncheon was served by the hostess. Mrs. Russell Childs was hostess host-ess to the N. T. P. club at her home Saturday evening. Mrs. Ann Stewart won high score favor during dur-ing the evening's entertainment of cards and Mrs. Zelda Cornaby of Spanish Fork, the guest prize.
