Show Dallin Monument Unveiled July 4 July 4 is the date set for the unveiling un-veiling of the Dallin Monument which is to be erected in the Springville Spring-ville city park as a memorial to the Springville nnd Mapleton boys who lost their lives in the world war. This was the decision of the .memorial .mem-orial committee at a meeting held at the Kearns Hotel Friday evening May 2. The entire celebration on the 4th of July will be under the direction of the memorial committee and the unveiling program will be made the outstanding program of the entire day. A very elaborate program is being prepared for the event and it is anticipated that besides Mr. Dallin Dal-lin there will be present to take part on the program, Governor Mabey and Mayor Clarence Neslen of Salt Lake City. It is also being planned to make this a home comming day for everybody every-body who has ever lived in Springville. Spring-ville. Those of the committee who were present at the meeting were: Mrs. Viola Roylance, Mrs. M. O. Packard, Mrs. Jess Oroesbeck. Wayne Johnson, John-son, Wm. Grooms, W. K. Kearns, Thorn C. Miner and Elmo Coffman. It was reported that the contributions contribu-tions from the different organizations organiza-tions toward the memorial fund has swelled the fund to the amount of $S07 to date. |
