Show IDAHOAN WINS TAYLOR PIANO CONTEST AT Y Lorin Rteks of Rigrby and Grace Sorenson of Moroni Place First and Second Lorin Ricks, a junior, of Rigby. Idaho, won the Lester R. Taylor piano contest over eight contestants in College Hall Monday evening in one of the most thrilling contests ever staged Jit the university, according ac-cording to Mr. Taylor, donor of the medal- Groeen Sorenson, of Moroni, won second place. Miss Sorenson will receive a scholarship for one quarter's quar-ter's training from Prof. Elmer Nelson Nel-son for her excellent work on the piano. Miss Sorenson Is a freshman. fresh-man. The contest was so close between Mr. lucks and Miss Sorenson that Mrs. Malcl Jenkins, the sole judge had Mr. Ricks repeat Irs Hungarinn Rhapsody No. 12 by Liszt The contestants in order of their appearance were Owentin Greenwood, Green-wood, Lorin Rocks, Floyd Johns.
