Pigott, wage collector collec-tor for the state industrial commission, commis-sion, in his biennial report, strongly strong-ly urges "teeth" for the state labor law. It is urged in the report that the state legislature appropriate sufficient suffic-ient funds to make enforcement of the law possible. It is also suggested suggest-ed that an amendment be added providing penalties for employers who violate the law, Mr. Pigott said that the law, at present, provides no financial or le gal means for enforcement. He believes, be-lieves, and recommended, 20 per cent penalty for employers who make it necessary to seek legal relief. |
