Progressive "500 was the game played during the evening and prizes were won by Mrs. Anlasia Rowland and Mrs. Hugh Baxter. Decorations consisted of bowls of spring blossoms. At 11:30 o'clock dainty refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by Mrs. Paul Brown and Miss Donna Dillingham to the following follow-ing members present: Mrs. G. D. Mrs. Arthur Finley, Mrs. William H. Brown and Mrs. Hugh Baxter. The ladies of the Home Culture club of Springville will hold their last regular meeting of this season at the home of Mrs. D. B. Welch Friday May 24. A nice program is arranged for this occasion and all members are asked to be present. Mrs. Gertrude Hanford and Mrs. Mcll Roylance of Hazelton, Idaho, are spending the week with friends and relatives in Springville. The entire house was prettily decorated with a profusion pro-fusion of lilacs and ferns. After an elaborate dinner served early in the evening, four tables of progressive pro-gressive "500" was arranged. High score prizes during the evening were wen by A. M. Lyall, and Mrs. R C Street and consolation by Mrs. Peter Forsythc. In attendance were the following club members: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hitchcock, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Street of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Lyall, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Urquhart, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Forsythe, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bor-inan Bor-inan of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. lCstham Clegg went to Salt Lake Wednesday and stayed stay-ed during Thursday on account of the illness of their daughter Mrs. Grace Stubbs. The members of the S. C. club will hold their next meeting June 6 at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. High Baxter. All members are invited to be present. An especially interesting meeting meet-ing of the Service Star Legion members was held Thursday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. Sarah Straw in this city. A talk on "Civil Government" was well given by Mrs. Hannah Davis. Announcement is made of the marriage of Earl Lowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Lowe of this city to Miss Jessce Snow of Salem. The j ceremony vas performed at Farm-ington Farm-ington Saturday May 11.
